The award, OHSAS 18001, is an external assessment of occupational health and safety management, and is given to companies that demonstrate a consistent approach to health and safety and promote a culture of responsibility at all levels within their workforce.
Brother undertook four days of evaluation to achieve the certificate, which included interviews, record verification and sampling methods.
Maggie Robinson, facilities manager for Brother UK, said: "This award is recognition of our continued commitment to create the best possible working environment for our employees.
"It is the most recent in a string of accolades secured for best practice; not only in health and safety, but in quality and sustainability - and complements our existing accreditations of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001."
