Don Skelton set to retire from managing director role at Pilot UK

Pilot UK has issued a statement announcing the imminent retirement of Don Skelton from his role as managing director.

Skelton, who has filled the role for the past six years, said: "Personal circumstances allow me the luxury of retiring early and focusing on my core interests of family, the judiciary and golf. Pilot UK is in a good position to capitalise on a strong brand with innovative products and I look forward to seeing its continued success in the UK.

"I have been lucky in my 30 years within the stationery industry to work with, and for, some iconic members of the trade and I will look back on some great memories."

Marcel Ringeard, president of Pilot Europe, said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank Don for his hard work over the past six years and wish him a long and healthy retirement. Don will not be leaving us until the end of April 2012 and in the meantime will assist us in finding a suitable replacement."
