New colour laser printer designed for small workgroups
Konica Minolta has launched the magicolor 3730DN - a compact A4 colour laser printer for small workgroups that need an affordable colour printing solution.
With a fast print speed of 24 pages per minute for colour as well as monochrome printing, great media handling flexibility and built-in duplexer, the new desktop device easily deals with nearly every office print job.
The 3730DN is available from Konica Minolta's national reseller network. Listening to consumer research, Mark Lloyd, director of IT channel and dealer operations, believes the new magicolor 3730DN is an attractive proposition. "We listened to our customers," he says. "Offices are crying out for a fast, high quality desktop laser printer that offers double sided printing as standard and a low cost per page, all at an attractive price. The magicolor 3730DN ticks all those boxes."
Vast array
Thanks to the use of Konica Minoltas' advanced Simitri HD toner, the magicolor 3730DN can print on a vast array of media, from A6 up to A4 and paper weights from 60g to 210g. The printer offers a poster printing mode where it can combine up to 25 A4 sheets from your document, to create one giant poster. The resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi provides high definition quality.
Standard paper capacity is 250 sheets from the main drawer plus a 100-sheet manual feed tray. This can be increased with an optional two further paper drawers, each with a 500-sheet capacity. Both trays can benefit from the built in automatic double sided printing. In addition to this, the printer benefits from a fast Ethernet connection as well as a USB 2.0 connection.
The magicolor 3730DN appeals environmentally, using Simitri HD toner the printer fuses the toner at a lower temperature, emitting fewer emissions and reducing power consumption. In addition, the benefits of a lower fusing temperature allow for more flexible media handling and reduced paper curling.
