Up To 100 jobs created

Promethean, a world leader in interactive learning technology, has announced its expansion plans to create up to 100 jobs over the next three years and open new offices in Maidenhead, Berkshire, to help meet the company's "fast-paced" growth.

The skilled jobs will be primarily focused on sales and marketing and research and development. The new 8,000 sq ft offices will be located at Clarion House on Norreys Drive. The recruitment drive is now under way with the objective to having key positions filled for the office opening in August 2010.

Theresa May, The Home Secretary and MP for Maidenhead, said: "I strongly welcome new investment in the Maidenhead area, and these new jobs will provide a timely boost. Maidenhead is a great place to work and it is important that we continue attracting successful businesses to the town. This is another vote of confidence to our local business community."

Reggy Degen, head of group human capital, said: "This recruitment drive will increase our workforce significantly over the next three years and reflects the needs of our rapidly expanding global business. The new Maidenhead office will provide the flexibility and geographical convenience that a global business requires and will benefit from the pool of talent that is located in the region, complementing our existing operations in the North West. Recruitment is already under way and we are delighted with the response received so far."
