PartnerNet website extended

Canon has extended its PartnerNet online portal (www.canon.co.uk/partnernet), launched in December, which gives its indirect business resellers access to sales and marketing tools.

The site is divided into four zones:

• My Zone - where resellers can search for products and related materials

• Marketing Zone - where users can set up and run tailored marketing campaigns using a selection of templates in the Campaign Centre

• Sales Zone - where processes are automated where they were previously manual. With the Tenders and Opportunities area resellers can tell Canon about the support they need to make an offering as competitive as possible

• Service and Support - contains information to back up sales, including "Ask an Expert", warranty information and access to spare parts.

Distribution channel director Pat Marlow said: "The portal will allow us the opportunity to work with new and existing customers in the IT Reseller channel. I believe that companies who sign up to the site will experience strong commercial benefits of access to the sales and marketing materials online and I look forward to jointly creating and supporting demand amongst end users for purchasing Canon products."

Lewis Daniels, senior campaign manager at Ingram Micro, who has already used the site commented: "Ingram Micro is excited about the roll-out of the PartnerNet portal. Canon has demonstrated a great understanding of reseller needs and has been eager to work with us to help shape its' offering and support model. We have been working closely and are already realising the benefits and functionality of the site."
