Teams up with Anoto to boost meeting productivity

Helping businesses to raise the productivity of their meetings, OKI Printing Solutions is offering the collaborative Anoto penPresenter, either bundled with its printer range or individually to users already equipped with an Anoto-qualified OKI printer.

The move follows a recent extension of the relationship between the two companies, making OKI a reseller of Anoto penPresenter solution and the sole supplier of Anoto qualified printers worldwide.

Anoto penPresenter is an add-in to PowerPoint that allows users to print their presentation using an Anoto qualified printer. When the presentation is printed, a subtle pattern of dots is added to the page that makes it possible to navigate the presentation and make annotations using the Anoto digital pen. Notes added to the paper are immediately visible on screen.

Anoto penPresenter can also be used as a personal digital whiteboard by creating and printing blank PowerPoint slides on which notes can be made using the pen.

Senior product marketing manager, Alan McLeish explained: "By combining Anoto Digital Pen and Paper technology with OKI's reliable in-house printing solutions, organisations can print the patented Anoto dot pattern onto any presentation, make accurate notes during a meeting and cut the time required to write up meeting notes, allowing staff to spend their time focused on their core roles."

By offering many of the functionalities of an interactive whiteboard at reduced cost, Anoto penPresenter believes it can benefit an education sector with tightening budgets.
