Lasers win three Buyer's Laboratory awards

Canon Europe is celebrating winning three Pick of the Year awards from Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI), the office equipment industry's independent authority and provider of competitive testing and reviews. The i-SENSYS LBP3010 was picked as an Outstanding Personal Workgroup Monochrome Printer, while the i-SENSYS MF4380dn won for Outstanding Personal Workgroup Monochrome Multifunction Printer. The i-SENSYS MF8450 picked up the Outstanding Small Workgroup Colour Multifunction Printer award.

"We are delighted that these three products have been recognised after undergoing the rigorous testing conditions that BLI operates," said Anil Jagpal, European product planning manager, laser products, Canon Europe. "As we constantly seek to improve products across the i-SENSYS range, it is very encouraging to see our efforts rewarded."

"We were impressed by the i-SENSYS MF4380dn's very good print quality and very good overall print productivity," said David Sweetnam, BLI European lab and research manager. "Other productivity-enhancing features included the ‘Quick First-Print' feature, which enables faster than average first-page-out times, and the ability to select frequently used print settings with a single click of the mouse via predefined printing shortcuts in the driver."

"In addition to its flawless reliability test performance, we were impressed by the wealth of ease of use features that Canon has added to the i-SENSYS MF8450, such as the swivel-mounted 3.5-inch colour TFT screen and a scroll wheel for fast data entry when carrying out scanning tasks," he continued. "The ability of the device to pull multiple jobs off the network at once also ensures that bottlenecks are kept to a minimum when the device is shared in a busy environment."
