Offers solution for strained users of high gloss laptop screens
Technology company, 3M, responded earlier this week to health and safety concerns surrounding the use of high gloss laptop screens by recommending a removable alternative for users: Vikuiti Privacy Filters, which offer on-screen data security for laptop users while in public places while increasing user comfort by minimising reflections and glare.
An HR advisory from Queensland University of Technology stated: "Reflections and glare on high gloss monitor screens and their relation to the angle of the monitor screen, could cause the operator to adopt awkward postures when viewing the monitor screen and using related equipment. These reflections on the screen can be from internal and external sources such as the overhead lighting and/or position of windows."
