Floating boardroom table enough to make you go MAD

The floating table in action

The familiar saying "you don't have to be mad to work here" might seem to apply particularly to the MAD Agency in Horton near Wimborne in Dorset, especially as it boasts what appears to be a floating boardroom table. But MAD, in this case, is just an acronym of Marketing, Advertising, Design and the 10ft black-topped table is not actually floating, just suspended on virtually-invisible yacht rigging fitted by Granite Transformations in Lymington, Hampshire.

The MAD boardroom table is clad with a work surface made from Italian granite with a black finish that combines the looks and style of natural granite, with the practical, hardwearing performance of advanced polymer technology.

The MAD Agency, which lists such clients as the RNLI and Royal Navy recently relocated from a converted barn to newly-renovated premises, which have been decked out with custom-designed wallpaper, advanced technology and bespoke furniture, including the floating table.
